Website Content (User-Triggered Only) – Text you explicitly select or activate through the sparkle icon/context menu, so the AI can generate explanations. We do not collect your browsing history or unrelated webpage data.
Preferences (Optional) – Extension settings such as overlay style, theme, or login state for a consistent user experience.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely to:

Authenticate users and maintain accounts
Process selected website content to generate AI explanations
Track usage limits for fair and secure access
Provide a personalized and consistent experience across sessions

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
Data is transmitted securely to our backend service (hosted on Vercel) for authentication, usage tracking, and access to the AI API.
We may use third-party AI providers to generate responses, but only the content you explicitly select or request is sent.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Authentication information is stored securely, and communication with our servers is encrypted via HTTPS.

You may uninstall the extension at any time, which will stop all data collection.
